When life was simple.
My nieces and nephews were playing on the playground, and my niece Grace went to go on the swings. Another little girl came up to her and sat down on the swing next to her. Grace said hello, and soon the two were swinging together.
The other little girl said, “Here, hold my hand and maybe we’ll go the same height together!”
So Grace took her hand and they laughed when the swings went crooked.
I miss when things were so simplistic, when making friends was easy because they never judged you, or cared about your faults.
I wish I was little again.
