Check out the new kaboom.org Forums!

We’ve changed the Forums! We have a new area to help you get started, learn what’s new in the community, and an area where we will feature active members of the community.

forumsscreenshot0708.jpgWe’ve also greatly reduced the number of Forum categories. For instance, the threads for the Playmaker Network and Playful City USA have now been combined. Also, nearly all of the Forums about building playspaces have been combined into two categories: building and fundraising. We’ve eliminated many of the categories that no one was visiting and we think it will easier for you to find useful conversations.

Finally, you can now search the Forums by thread, username, date, and by keywords. The search function is what we are calling a “beta” test. There may be some bugs and if you come across some, we would be very appreciative if you posted them in the Community Forum (along with any other questions and comments about the changes we’ve made too!) New Playmaker Webpages

Everyone at KaBOOM! is very excited to announce the all-new, super glossy, refreshed, revamped and re-launched KaBOOM! Playmaker webpages!

Wait, what’s that? You are not a Playmaker?!

Luckily for you, not only can you learn more about the Playmaker Network and the KaBOOM! National Campaign for Play, but you can also join!

Start by visiting www.kaboom.org/playmaker and learn why it’s so important for us to work together to bring play back into the lives of children. Read the Playmaker Pledge and then make the commitment to support play— become a Playmaker now!

Once you have joined, its time to take action. Take the Local Action and speak out for play or take the National Action and sign up for a helpful webinar.

I could list all of the new features, but that would only slow you down from all the work you will soon be doing in support of play. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just toyed with the idea of building your own playground or if you have successfully completed a playspace build, you are already a Playmaker— now its time to take the pledge and sign-up.

Learn more, take the pledge, take action—Become a Playmaker!
